I was wondering if someone could tell me if its ok to compost tobacco?...Not cigarette ends but rollups made with tobacco...I can understand that cigarettes have chemicals in them, but tobaaco is the natural leaf......

Iv been composting for a year now and i collect the tobbaco ends (that i smoke) in a pot outside and eventually either burn them or throw them in the bin, but i keep thinking if i could compost them...
So i come to you more experienced composters to set my mind straight...

The actual smoked ends will contain a very high level of nicotine in the remaining tobacco and have been used as a rather lethal pesticide (now illegal IIRC) so I wouldn't risk it. Safe to quit smoking.

Although you can grow your own tobacco and pay duty if you plan to smoke it IIRC.
