I transplanted them yesterday and it's now 24 hours later and they are looking extremely happy.

I've already got two rows of seeds in because I thought I'd made a booboo with these and they would die when I moved them, so I've put them into large planters and am going to harvest them to eat as baby carrots instead.

Excellent work, did you do it at night to avoid the dreaded carrot fly?

Not to worry, when you are thinning out it is more of an issue. Sone people companion plant garlic or chives as a deterent IIRC.
