I was just checking up on what Bob Cringely has been up to lately...

A well-known industry figure, and former InfoWorld columnist, despite having moved away from Silicon Valley, he still has plenty of high-bandwidth connections to what's going on.

He hasn't had any programmes on Channel4 lately, but he does still do his column for the US Public Broadcasting Service.
In his 12th May column he reports on a week that he forsees having long-lasting ramifications for the future of the internet and personal computing... he writes of "A Point of Inflection" - where the trends change. It is (as usual for Cringely) a very interesting read...
