Just been asked to solve a crossword clue from a shooting magazine.

6 letters, "Baited line for catching birds?".

Other than illegal (which doesn't fit), what is it?

Hmm... She's insisting that all the clues around it are right now, and looking at them I'm forced to agree. So we now have T_AGLE.
