I've just spent the last 2 days making a cold frame. We got a new door for the kitchen and Old Hubby cut the glazed bit off the old one for me.The rest of the wood is from some shelves that we took down a few years ago.Anyway here it is,it cost me the grand total of £1 as I had everything but some wood glue.

Nicely done. More professional than mine (an old drawer with a cracked window pane on top of it!).

Excellent. I have three 15 pane glass doors in the shed that we removed when we moved into our cottage. I knew they would come in handy

thanks everyone
Im not very good with woodwork ,my measuring is usually off somewhere and my sawing never goes in a straight line but it didnt matter for this so I gave it a go.
Just got to mend the shed now as the door has just fallen apart the roof felt is ripped and the sides are a bit warped.
Our neighbours have black stuff all over theirs which I think might be builders paper or roof felt.

I built one with glass sides, quite a grand affair. Snails ate all the putty!

I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere about telling the difference between porridge and window putty ...
