How about a top forum threads feature on the main site?

I have just noticed that Sally has put of an excellent article as a thread on tanning a hide.

Now I am sure we may well ask and get permission to publish this as an article. But it made me think that there are probably a lot of very infromative threads that are either unsuitable to be articles or which for one reason or another we would not have the right to publish in article format.

So the idea of an "Editors Choice" for the forum seems an attractive one.

Personally, I'm happy to have any of my threads hijacked and rehashed as articles, I usually just spew out chunks of info when asked rather than getting round to writing up major articles. Just shout if you want anything I've put in so far tarting up as an article

And we are very thankful for it

but I think it is always good manners that we ask. I think the tanning one, is an interesting case, as it is the sort of "article" that would be crying out for photos.

Its off-season for us for tanning, but happy to oblige next time we have a tanning phase- unless anyone else wants to collaborate if they are having a go- might well make for a better article to have two perspectives anyway.
