I understand that there has been a change to air rifle law, would it be legal to sell one on a forum such as this? Does anyone know?

I believe not, you can advertise it here, and arrange payment, but the handover must be face-to-face as with firearms and shotguns.

I am sure that private deals can still be done by mail order. Its just tretail / trade deals that must be done via a licenced dealer.

Private deals can be done by mail, you must ensure you do your best to make sure the buyer is over 18. About the only carrier who will accept rifles is Royal Mail, costs around £20 to post them special delivery (I have sent a few)

No it only affects trade deals, private deals can still be via post BUT you must resonably try to prove the buyer is over 18.

AND a trader can still send a rifle outside of GB, it only effects TRADE/BUSINESS sales within the UK.

You can also still send rifles to be repaired by post, and the repairer can return it by post, only a new/second hand purchace of the rifle is affected.

Not from a dealer they cant. Only second hand direct from the current owner. All sales from a dealer must be face to face or via another dealer.
