This must be close to a record, I've just had my renewal processed and a new licence issued in under two weeks. Last time it took them six months to process a change of address.

Of course, I'm sure a few of you will be questioning how thoroughly my information was checked. And it's a fair point.

When I saw your location is Wales? I wondered if you dealt with the firearms registry now in Prestatyn?
The head of the licensing section, the man that denied moderators for centre fire, and it is alledged gave every shooter a really hard time (massive delays) has be suspended (and bailed) for firearms offences. (Alledgedly)

Im in NI actually, but a Welsh expat. NI is supposed to be the hardest place of all to get one. Airguns and Shotguns have to go on an FAC.

I have kinfolk in Southern Ireland. My brother tells the same story and I check wth my friendly firearms dealer. He tells me that it's true, you can have nowt without a ticket, but once you have your ticket...... you can have lots of toys that are not allowed in the UK.
Including handguns

I think handguns are generally only available in NI to public service "at risk" personnel.
