No Outlook doesn't rule before some clever dickie tells me that, this is a question about rules in Outlook. I've now got two accounts in Outllook Express how do I set Outlook to put all the items I've sent as tahir@downsizer to a particular folder?

Tools > Message Rules > Email

Follow the wizard

Make sure you have the folder before you start as in old versions of outlook the mails would go to dev/null

That only works for items received, not sent

From Outlook help

If you stop automatically saving copies of e-mail, you can still save a copy of a message by typing your e-mail name in the Cc box when you compose the message.

Just then add a normal rule to move

Tahir, do you want to move all the emails you've *already* sent as t@ds.net?

Or do you want to make sure that all the emails you send in the *future* as t@ds.net go to a particular folder?

I assume it's not the first (go to your sent file, add a column to show the sender, sort by sender and then move all those emails in a block).

For the second, I don't know how you decide which account your message will be from, but if you open a new message and go to "options" and select "send message using"...then just above it there'll be a check box saying "save sent message to" and a browse button after that, from which you can pick a file for the sent msg to save.

Don't know if it'll stay that way for the next msg you send from that account though.

This probably makes no sense at all.

I'll have a go at both.
