MOT tomorrow - I've got my new number plate ready to fix but the original screws on the back plate are so rusted up I can't see what type screw is holding it on?

Any help appreciated.
It's a VW golf but I'm not sure if it's an original plate/fittings.

Thanks, EV

... Our lovely garage have told me not to worry, if I put the plate in the car, they'll fit it.

Isn't duct tape the right answer then? Or gaffer if you're in the arts.
