Don't forget to give your machine a good run through with a hot wash and vinegar if you are using less detergent.

Also vinegar in the final rinse is a great fabric softener too.

Yeah vinager on a hot wash will descale the inside of the machine which will of course mwan that you use less energy to run the thing.

Anyone with any worries over the smell can run the machine empty as the benifit will out weigh the cost.

How much vinegar would you use?

I live in a very hard water area so scaling is inevitable.

I use about a tablespoon and the washing doesn't smell of vinegar when it comes out
