Not very keen on the Tomato one myself,

size is a little tricky. Our current middle section is about 680px width, but to a certain degree the site should be designed around the logo, rather than the logo having to fit in with current design.

Shouldn't the logo be scaleable? What happens if we change to a dynamic width template?

Images are not scalable, we can probably centre and image in a table cell with a background color that will keep things looking ok as we scale though.

Can the background green fade from the dark green we're using now which is html ref 366000 ?

I don't think the new image is going to be compatible with the fade out, a background afaik has to be a single color.

Bit of a shame as I quite liked the fadeout.

Well it'd be nice to see on the darker green background. The buttons will have to change as well won't they?

Fade from #366000 to white or to a lighter or darger green? So I can change the size? Any preference? I thought maybe a little less deep, but about the same width...any thoughts?

Probably and for that matter, when we are finally settled logo wise, we also will need to consider not just buttons, but the complete template and also the forum template, which we should make a real effort to match in look.
I was pretty pleased at the sort of integration achieved so far, but a final look and feel should IMHO go further.

I haven't pushed for any changes on the forum because the transition between front page and forum should be as seamless as possible, so it's a bit pointless making any major changes until the front page is settled.

I think when we decide that we have the final logo, I will have to go mad on the mirror with various templates.

There is actually an opton in Mambo to allow people to select between templates. So I could install several and let people decide which general style they like, adn then this would be reworked with the colors and logos we want. The selection i'd give people would obviously be restriced to those with a dynamic width, which also were sympathic to forum integration. Which probably means the basic logo at top, left hand menu arrangement. But I will try hard to see other alternatives.

My final attempt for now. I've made the font taller, to allow more room for the background images, so they are clearer. Used the dark green color, tahir gave me. Comments please.
