Well for the forum we are there

Albeit we have picked up a slight cosmetic flaw on the right.

For the main site, I think it is time I played with the templates.

thanks for all this wonderful work

What about a small gif (or whatever) for the left and right of the logo, in the two colours of green, and then ( I assume ) those two images could expand to fit as the window is resized? Is that how it works?

And while it looks ok in firefox, it's picking up a couple of pixels at the bottom in ie.

Are many people using firefox btw? If so, I've another little project I'm working on...

I have a couple of expanding table cells which were in the right color, but if you look now at the far right of the jpg, yoo will see a vertical line in a slightely lighter color than the pixels to its left.

I expect that's the dither in the logo image, I'll try and fix it.

See if that's any better. If not maybe try taking a 1px wide slice from the side of the image and using that as the resizeable image.

I have tweaked the image a bit to almost totally lose the lines,

I guess we can revisit and make it pefect later.

This is a bigger file size (png-24) but there's no dither at all, so it should look better. It might be a bit on the big size for a logo - what do you think?

In two minds, that is not massive, but is bigger than ideal.

Toughie, isn't it? The thing is, it's not just the lines at the ends, it looks a bit odd around the bottoms of the letters too. Probably not ideal using photos for a logo - lots of colours - suppose logos should be gifs ideally....

What's the deal with the style sheets? Is it possible to specify the image in the stylesheets and have a 56k and a broadband style sheet?

It's not ideal, but it looks good! Design over function! I suppose once it's loaded it's cached though and it's hardly going to take forever....

Certainly looks better than the jpg. I suppose wait for a bit of feedback and then have a rethink?

I much prefer the dark green than the original. I suppose it should go between the two colours in the google ad though really.....

the google ads can always be changed, fact is that thanks yto you we are looking miles better

the template now stands out, as the crucial next next order ob business on the techy side, more articles is of course the really crucial thing though.
