has this been covered here yet ?

we can't recycle yellow pages, presumably because the yellow ink taints the whole batch of re cycled paper ( correct me if i'm wrong please )

so........

do yellow pages HAVE to be yellow ?

our recycling takes yellow pages. Wonder why some don't?

also, the yellow page people themselves run big recycling campaigns, at least in Wales. All the local schools are encouraged to collect them and they get turned back into the next lot of yellow pages.
Great for papier mache too

You can shred them, soak in water, put in a mould, squeezed to remove water, dried out and eventually burnt in a wood burner or open fire place. That what I do with all my newspapers, old phone directories etc
