Thanks for all your replies/support/advice

Murray's demise has not been in vain (he was delicious!)

Incidentally, the rest of the pheasants appear to be much more relaxed now. I wonder if Murray's confrontational nature had resulted in the rest of them not liking him very much anyway?

Calli ,with the use of my 'special online totally gadgety infared camerathingy I have managed to pick out a couple more features from that erm 'rabbiting' picture...It gets more worrying by the minute! I dare not delve any further!
