I'm a bah-humbug person, too - I once dated someone who an absolute *&*$ for 364 days of the year and then went all emotional and mushy for that particular day. It took the edge off it somehow .

Don't do that day here either.... last year we avoided it altogether by having DD2s birthday party (it was a week earlier, but we were away so couldn't exactly have the party then, lol)

Hmmm no. I have enough trouble making sure that DP just remembers my birthday let alone get me anything; so doing another day would just be pushing it
