interesting.....some good looking bags made out of bags.... presumably lot stronger

I made an ace fancy dress outfit once out of plastic bags......cut into strips and tied to a ring of elastic to make a "grass" skirt

It seems like quite a good idea - unless you start using more plastic bags just so's you can make plastic bags...

I suppose it's a good way of emptying your cupboard and making a resolution to not fill it up with them again.

I saw something recently about knitting with plastic bags then melting them together - this looks much easier...

Wouldn't fancy breathing in the fumes myself.

This tutorial seems to be taking over the entire internet at the mo!
I've seen it so many times lately... I've seen a couple of sites using this method to make pretty heavy-duty bags, so from that point of view its useful, and it looks like an effective method of making waterproof bags... i intend to try it next time I make bags, either as an outer or as a lining, to see how it comes out.
As to the ethics, I think using it as a method of clearing out an existing cupboardfull is the only way to go, although I will be keeping the coolest coloured ones for the top layer!

Example of a pretty heavy-duty bag is here: https://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2007/06/make_a_messenger_bag_out.html

Certainly might be worth trying, fumes can't be good for you though can they.

extension lead, garden, nice day, work downwind (or is that upwind?).....
And what about doing it the less elegant, but just as effective way - use several bags inside each other?
