interesting, I've wandered around the internet... looking for an easier going place than the bushcrafting lot... who all seemed abit self obsessed in my opinion. Most believed themselves to be the next Ray Mears. Then I took a wrong turn and wandered in by accident (I should add) into a prepping forum which had way too much dagger and gas mask action for my liking. From there I staggered into a few other places all of which seemed to be full of more polarised fruit cakes... till I ended up in the alternative living section for the mentally unwell, who seemed very keen on talking to aliens and working out the hidden messages in crop circles.... DOH!

anyway I'm here now... right I'll make a start on the beers...

My sides hurt.....
My husband and I have followed much the same path. ...Dagger & gas masks - may well have been the same forum.

Mines a pint if your getting the drinks in!

straight glass or jug....? Selkie...?

well it was a shock to the system... the gasmask brigade just struck me as "nutters...!"

there where people in there that gave names to knives they owned...

it brought into the question the whole care in the community issue, which I thought it was the decent thing to mention... that was just before I got banned....

can't say what I said about Ray Mears or the other chap Bear Gryllis... on Bushcrafting monthly cos I got banned for that aswell...

then I might have made a few other remarks... which seemed pretty funny to me, but it got me thrown out of the rest of the forums...!

so now I'm here

advice to anyone who may ask a question, if I answer it it might be not exactly what you wanted to hear but it'll be what I consider to be the answer to the question you asked given the limited information a forum provides.

Jug please Carlos...
Sounds like it was same forum then!

I knew I could never really be a prepper in the 'I have more bullets than you do!' way the day that I was at our local rifle club and invited to try new rifle purchased by fellow club member, he opens the case and walked of leaving me to enjoy. I had to go and get him.
Everything was touching FOAM.
I hate the stuff.... Stuff used for teaching kids to swim isnt like this, this stuff makes my skin crawl

Bear Gryllis....always strikes me as a prat.

Same again?

Old Bear well I met him back in the early 90's when I had a brief spell in the Volunteers and your right I thought he was a wally aswell. However he's made a fine living from drinking his own wee.... and eating other people's poo...

But then again he's probably use to it, having been to Eton and all that.... you know what they say about private school...!

Hi, my name is Dan and I am looking at moving to France and slowly setting up a smallholding with my wife Jodie and my 19 month old daughter Arabelà. Really looking forward to the adventure. It was Simon Dawson's 'Pigs in Clover' book that led me to this website and I hope to learn a lot more from the educated people here!! Thank you for having me!
