There are about 10 or 12 for sale at our tip at the moment. I think they are going for 50p each.

Shame about the distance I do not think our tip does anything so imaginative

I got my "demi's" from a car boot sale (6 of 'em for a fiver along with a whole load of brewing apparatus)

I highly reccomend car boot sales for this purpose. Sadly we don't have such luxuries now that we have moved to FR

i don't suppose anyone knows anywhere i can look to find out about boot sales in my area? i rarely see any signs for them and when i do they always seem to be past the date they are held. i'm in edinburgh so if anyone knows of any that are held regularly here or even as far as bathgate or livingston please do tell!

That sounds about the right price at a car boot, I generally try and haggle for 50p but generally it ends at 75p or a pound.

Try looking in your local weekly paper, there is usually a what's on section.

We have a load of demijohns in our barn. Can't vouch for their cleanliness but they are free to anyone who cares to collect.
