https://happipaws.webs.com/ratesservices.htm

this is the rates page from their site
chickens are the last paragraph, i didnt post the rates as it depends on if you take your run ect ect so its just easier to read it through.

When we go on holiday, we at struggling to know what to do with our 3 hens.

Weekends away (short holidays) no problem, neighbours and family chip in.

However for the annual 2 weeks away, its a bit too much of an ask + most of our family are going with us!!!

What do people do?

We were thinking of getting a smaller coop and run, that would fit in/on the Landy, that we could take round to someone else's house, and they could chicken sit on site for two weeks.....could possibly persuade them to get their own chickens

Does anyone else do this????

We were thinking of purchasing an eglu, for this purpose, or something of a similar size......

Does anyone have a spare one knocking around...that we could buy???

Any help please?????

We'd chook-sit for you, if you had a mobile run for them. No fee, just eggs (that is, if they haven't gone off lay from the travelling!!)

I've had hens before, and we're getting some rescues later in the year (hopefully!) In the meantime we have plenty of space for a little chicken ark for a week or two, and we are here all the time

We are thinking of setting up a chicken/poultry boarding business, we are in South Mimms in Hertfordshire, junction 23 of M25 where the A1 meets the M25, not far from Heathrow, Stanstead or Luton Airports so you can drop them off on the way!
We have 14 laying hens of our own, only been doing the good life for 3 years but love it, we have rescued Batteries as well as homeless old hens, we have a couple of large 12 x 12 runs built into our garden which are empty at the moment so we thought of Boarding Hens to help people out, have no idea of costs yet but if interested let me know. Fowlers Boarding Hens are a small family run business set up to help look after your hens while you are away - up to 8 hens in a 12 foot run with their own coop, from £6 per night to £35 per week - based in South Mimms, where the M25 meets the A1 - take a look at the website - www.boardinghens.co.uk

Holiday Boarding for chickens - novel idea. How much is it for a chicken to be boarded for a week, then?

£4 / day up to 4 hens, then £1 per hen after this, min 4 days stay

All feed included in price

Bank holidays charged at double rate
