I'm taking a wild guess that with this weather soup may be featuring in many Downsizer's diets this week What soup of the day is on offer in your house?

I'm about to go and make a vat of onion, potato and butternut squash soup, will have dumplings added later on.

Just got a single portion of lentil & veg out of the freezer and I spotted a double of chilli tomato in there, so that will be Sat's lunch. I may make a vat of something else tomorrow, though.

Have only got as far as taking some chicken wings from the freezer to make stock.
Possibly borscht though.

"What's left in the fridge that I can make into soup" soup probably.

With the last pumpkin before it goes all mushy like the previous one.

SNAP

Soup based on lentils sounds nice too but at the moment I have rather a lot of pumpkins and squashes to work through - I wonder if they'll work with lentils?
