i love what you have made,looks very proffessional...I have seen someone wearing those shoes..would love a pair, they look so comfy.

I built my forge from a bbq out of a skip, an ikea table leg and a budget hairdryer from Adsa There's a chap around the corner who welds traintracks for a living and I blagged a length to bash hot metal against. Fun fun fun.

As I've got a plentiful supply of alder wood I'm tempted to have a go at a pair of wooden sole / leather upper clogs one day. I might need to wait until I can get some cheaper leather to have a go at those.

As for a forge, I've got my eye out for a cheap but sturdy anvil or suitable lump of steel.

Here's the latest thing I've made, I purchased the blade a few years ago and I spotted the wood for the handle in a load of logs we had delivered. The sheath is 3.2mm veg tanned leather, wet formed. The knife looks a little basic and 'dumpy' but it's very pleasant to hold and use.

Have you made leather animal leads? Perhaps a headstall or halter? Pouches and bags are wonderful. Leather mittens are wonderful in the winter for gathering firewood.

I might have a go at a dog lead but I've been a bit concerned about the strength as our dog is rather strong for her size. I've also got the chewed remains of a dog collar that I'll remake.

I've just taken delivery of just under 115 square foot of various leathers so I have plenty of materials to play with. Some thick 3mm undyed veg-tan, some really lovely 2mm dark brown leather and an entire cow of 1mm dark brown leather for making some bags and pouches (it looks a bit 70's but it fine for what I want if for). I'll not mention the kinky shiny stuff, but I did get some stripper to go with it.
