Hi Everyone,

I found these Boletes yesterday. They have brown caps 3" to 5" across with white and violet color under the cap. Stalks are white with light streaks of brown. Cut cross section of caps are two tone....white towards the top with gray/violet towards the spores. Spore print being taken right now.

I think they are either Bitter Boletes or Lilac Brown Boletes?

Any help on Identifying would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bobby

Taste it by putting it on your tongue. You will discover the bitter bolete in no time! Also the bitter variety does not have worms.
