Well maybe you should apply to be on the next series! I loved the ones with the pomegranate seeds, so pretty and I bet they tasted divine.

They looked lovely didn't they.

I'm amazed at the people who attempted things they'd not tried before when they'd needn't have. I'd have thought it was nerve wracking enough without attempting something new.

I'd enter if they had a Chutney version of the programme

The Champion Chutney Challenge ...

We just watched this online Needed to sit down for a bit, so a welcome break, but could have done without Pippa balanced on one arm of the chair and a dog wedged down my kidneys who kept shoving a paw down the back of my jeans as she fidgeted....

So - who's going to win

Pippa just bought Cox, cake and cookies in TKmaxx which is quite funky -some of the cake flavours look tasty too.

We watched this, in the worlds most depressing Travel Lodge hotel room. TV passes us by totally not having one, but poor befuddled Offspring watched it sat in bed. At the end she very quietly went in a suspicious tone of voice "I like the cake, but TV is a bit funny isn't it?"

I thought they were over picky about the Battenburg. If it looks tatty, the solution is to eat it all really quickly before it offends any sensibilities with wonky icing and irregular buttercream. Which is the kind of attitude which explains why I'd fail epically at attempting anything like that.

Brilliant isn't it?

Seeing as a few of us are watching, shall we have a little DS sweepstake on who's going to win.

I don't do betting, so I've no idea how it works, who's watching and know all about odds and evens and stuff ... and can explain it to those who don't?

I like watching this, though I know I wouldn't be able to deal with the pressure, and I take much longer than a couple of hours to turn out some of the stuff they have to.
I have just finished a 2 tier cake and it's taken me 2 full days to do.......

we could have our own bake off and enter photos of our creations. Mr RJ wants a battenburg

Or we could if I could resize photos, after I have found the connector to actually be able to download them....

I'm in the sweep stake - I will have to watch it again to remember the name of the person I think will win.....
