I have quite a few eating apples that are

Not quite ripe (aren't going to get any more so)
A bit manky, but not windfalls (scab etc)

I have no juicer, dehydrator, or scratter.

Any suggestions what to do with them, either as an end product, or as a way to store them but not as fresh apples ?

Peel core and stew.

Freeze afterwards.

Use in pies or with pork etc.

Apple cheese? In theory I think it should store without being frozen.

Find someone with pigs! They like apples Saves you the bother of preparing them and feeling guilty when you don't...

I think I will try making apple butter, as I've not done that before.

Haven't got enough for cider, and I've already got cooking apples for stewing.

You can dry apple rings in the oven or over a stove - you don't need a dehydrator. Not that I've ever done it myself 'cos I loathe dried apples!

Dried apple rings are nice! Great for adding to muesli or snackboxes. Dip in acidulated water first to stop them browning.

dipped in lemon juice before drying is good. And cut out those husky seed pockets first.

apple rings are good you can just hang them up over a heat source to dry thread them on thin doweling or string. i have 2 lengths of chain with 5 dowels at different heights over the wood burner they take about a week to dry. They keep well I'm still eating last years.
