I have a pair of trainer-style shoes, and the sole at the toe has come away from the layers of upper/undersole.
It needs to be stuck back together. It would have been glued with something to begin with (no sewing)

What would be the best glue to repair this with ?
Is Superglue flexible enough ? Or is there some other kind that is as strong but more elastic / stretchy / flexi ?

Cant advise you what glue to use - however can say that when we used superglue we had a slight misshap. Thought the offending shoe was glued and went out a few days later to a large expo.....only been there 10 minutes and the sole came off again. My OH spent the rest of the day slchepping around as trying to walk through 1000's of people bootless was a complete no go

I suggest a contact adhesive such as EvoStick. You'll need to clean and roughen the surface area well and ensure it's dry and dust free.

There is a product called ShoeGoo but I have no experience of it.

Dad has done this for me and my siblings in the past. It worked well

There is a shoe glue you can buy ... Called Bison or similar. It works well. Superglue won't work as its not flexible when it dries.

Another vote for evostick contact adhesive.
Apply to both sides, wait until tacky before pushing together, then clamp / force together for 24hours.
Won't last forever but good enough to be worthwhile.

I use a glue called E6000 off ebay , sucessful on shoes and hiking boots as it remains very flexible but sticks to anything.
