Hi All,

My name is Keith and my SBOH is Michele or "Welly-Shelly" to her friends. We moved to Croatia from Welwyn in Hertfordshire almost eight years ago looking to create a new lifestyle for ourselves and we are still enjoying the ride. Our story and blog is here if anyone is interested.

We have spent most of our time here renovating and old farmhouse and smallholding and setting up our businesses to earn a living. There are about 30 or so of us ex-pats all living and working in and around the area now so it can be quite fun and help is always to hand especially for those bigger jobs.

My passion is restoring older properties, giving them a new lease of life so they can survive for another 100 years. Our current project involves the restoration and re building of a complete village and you can see what it’s all about here;

Thank you all for the warm welcome and friendly comments.

We are trying to find our way around the forum and going through some of the previous threads, topics and posts. Lots to get through its a very active forum.

It is nice to read so much about everyone, where you are living and what you are all doing to make a living, there is some great diversity and very inspiring.

I see there are other like minded souls spread out across various parts of the world, who/where is the furthest member?
