Does anyone fancy joining me in a quilt-a-long? Just for fun.

I'm going to choose and cut out my pieces for the 1st block. I'm going for blues, reds, greens and pinks I think.

Anyone up for it, no time limits/pressure, we can show our progress on here as we go along (she says optimistically

Lovely idea, I have a pile of quilting fabric that periodically looks at me reproachfully, would be good to start using it

Excellent! I've already changed my mind on the fabric Green/red/cream now Off to get cutting....before I change my mind again

My eldest daughter is part way through her quilt, we ordered the batting yesterday and one final colour of fabric for a border round one section. Will post a photo perhaps. Off now to watch the video. PS Where do you all find is the best place to buy quilting fabrics?

Im at the stage of handquilting........... Ive been doing this project for yonks! handstitching is as interesting as watching paint dry.

If you start by watching the video on block 1 (a few times through in my case) she does explain each step really well for beginners. I'm getting quite excited about seeing all the different fabrics everyone chooses now

I've watchedthe first video and it really is quite good for beginners I think, very clear and unfussy. Off to the stash...............
