Hows everyones harvest and stores coming along, we now have a glut of toms several months late but they have now peaked, garlic and onions failed this year, beans poor harvest, beetroot has done well, soft fruits have done well, peppers are just starting to ripen, peas have been good.
Winter veg is looking good though so theres still hope.

First lot of beetroot bolted, later sowing is doing well. Good crop of potatoes (but I only grow a relatively small amount of pink fir apples, don't bother with other varieties). Runner beans have been prolific. Courgettes and squashes were slow to start but picked up later in the season. Tomatoes have been ok, but not great. Chillis and peppers still going strong. Soft fruit good, apart from strawberries which were rubbish. Brassica's have been epic, biggest cabbages I've ever grown and the brussel sprouts are nearly four foot tall.

Only disasters were the onions / garlic and top fruit (late frost took out all the blossom).

First year here so...

Salad drawer of fridge full of spuds
About 2 dozen carrots (more-or-less a full row)
4 squash
Courgettes just got going, but the ones I was drying went mouldy so wasted

A few handfuls of runner beans, I kept having to resow and replant after slugs
Salsify - about a dozen?
Scorzonera - two
Row upon row of brassicas that haven't grown beyond a foot tall. Shan't bother next year.
More lettuce than I know what to do with!
Late sown chard looking good
A few fennel bulbs (about half germinated)
Asparagus peas doing ok, need to plant more to get a meals worth though
Oca yet to be dug up
Beetroot negligable
Daikon vanished
A few tasty wineberries, not bad for a first year I think

Oh - and two hazelnuts I've yet to see a squirrel here so I'm leaving them to ripen

Spuds, we did ok with.
Beetroot, just stopped growing once they hit the size of a one pence piece.
Raspberries, okish not as good as last year though.
Tomatoes, not very many.
Chillies, none at all. Just starting to flower.
Herbs, doing very well.

All in all a very poor year.
