The comments are good too.

Reminded me of a poem in an anthology done at O Level which included "Oh cat of churlish kind/ A fiend was in thy mind/ When thou my bird untwin'd

and goes on to curse the cat really creatively - invokes the manticores of the mountains I seem to remember.

Having done a quick search not found the full text but did find it was written in the 1400s.
