Do you mean a mechoui? Whole roast lamb eaten usually with more meat and just a odd lettuce leaf to garnish?

No, the people outside the butchers on a Sunday roasting stuff on a girt big wood/charcoal fired thing. Rotisseurs. That's the word for them.
