I really like that pic. You're not supposed to have a wonky horizon, but I like the dynamic effect.

The cows look happy on it Rob. There is a lot of birch there. Are they trying to keep the open areas open by grazing? That is being done on some of the lowland heath round here.

Well yes, and no, we're hoping to next year, but at the moment there just aren't enough cows to go round.

Thank you - some of the rejects could have been so much better if I'd had more time - the light was fading fast and I had the other cows to check before dark (which I didn't manage).

As you have said previously Rob, you need to be able to sell the meat to increase the number of cows. Cows are at least consistent, volunteers with slashers aren't.

There were so many small furry things in the grass that I was afraid that my knees were going to get bitten. All were too fast to focus on, though.
