I meet a group of friends every month or so. Last time we did a lot of eating, talking and drinking, some brewing and quite a bit of sewing.

We all seem to own those lovely turned needle cases and one thing led to another and we decided next time we all met we would have a go at pole lathing.

And we did!

Setting up.

Celebrating!

We now also have lots of people who are good at making frames for a national beehive.

Absolutely brilliant, best use of a toilet seat ever. Looks like you had a great time too.

Looks like you had fun. We use a bungee for the spring as we often have to set up for demonstrations in confined spaces or car parks and for some reason they don't like us banging holes in the tarmac to fix the pole.

Son was demonstrating pole lathe turning today and made a pestle for an order and a couple of spirtles with a potential small door wedge on the odd bit at the end.
