As a race we have spent billions of dollars on developing world bounding technology, involving fibre optics, satellites, micro electronics and such. And a huge percentage of it is wasted on putting pictures of cats on the Internet.

Someone has out an awful lot more pictures on the Internet, available for all to see and search.

Some of these will be cats.

ETA: 15% of Internet traffic is estimated to be vermin related. link.

Ok I get it now you've explained but your link is wrong, I was expecting big fat juicy rats under vermin not cats which are the goodies in a global battle with squeaky marauders. I bet even more Internet traffic is taken up with babies and children ( cuteness factor) or those vacuous parasites that are "celebrities" ( vomit factor)
