Yep, poor broadband (although it may be improved soon, ish), ok TV but many freeview channels can be lost with high pressure.

Thing is, I don't really watch much, using iPlayer the last few weeks just shows what little there is on. If I get a plain TV I doubt I'll get round to getting any extra bits.

As it happens the Smart TV I had in mind is out of stock, so no rush to make up my mind.

12 down and 8 across ,better than the old one by a factor of ten as the copper was running out of bandwidth ,i recon york has quite good bb since the fibre distribution stuff came on stream,even though it isnt as fast as my direct fibre a few years back it aint bad for down a bt part wire part fibre system.location does make a difference as to what works best .

here the aerial signal is a bit thin sometimes as we dont have any nearby hills to put a pole on.i think the emley signal is a bit better than the newcastle one but both are a bit blobby in poor weather

where we stayed in whitby had freesat which seemed to work pretty well
