And the woodies had helmets on.

Anyone got a picture of the lovely long haired blond I met? The one with four paws and a wet nose

Somewhere over a clifftop .... lalalala la...Ahem !!!
Anyway was a cool weekend so a Big thank you to pricey for giving us the chance to do what we do best KILL furry things, also it was a chance to mix with people that we dont normally mix with, who were i might add very nice people
personally it was good to teach people things they might never do again or after being taught maybe they think of taking it up, like TD i think he is a natural born pauncher i can see him and bugs getting a ferret or too in the future....if u do guys i will be breeding again next summer using Hobnob as the sire .... so yell if u want some
penny the ace photographer also made a mean coffee when we was all wet and cold... her and O/H Steve were really nice and i had some fun convo's with them... hopefully now Penny has learned to paunch also, i think rabbit might be on their menu a bit more now too, as Steve likes shooting them but not playing with the squishy side of rabbiting
And Whitelegg ...well to be honest had little contact with this critter as he seemed to prefer sniping the cliffs quietly on his own for most of the time, but the little time we spoke he seemed a nice fella ..
Also Pricey a big hi to ur guys Ollie and carl .. they were nice lads and i think they will be continuing where we left off regarding ferreting they seemed to have a whale of a time ...
Another big up to Hobnob too mainly for doing his job and not letting me down and making me look stupid
So all in all fun was to be had by all ..... rabbit anyone???

Not this year but next we could be tempted. I'd love to help ferreting again though, might try and find someone more local to help out.

I was just thinking, we could arrange a "Downsizer Ferreting in a weekend" course or video.

That's why I mentioned it, you told me! I said I've learnt a fair bit during the weekend, I've even managed to make a glove puppet like Pricey's.

All we need now is instructions on how to make your nets.

Thanks to Pricey for a great weekend, and thanks to Bunnykiller and Sparky for all the instruction given over the weekend.

Is was good to go round with people who know what they are doing, and are willing to pass on their knowledge.

Looking forward to another possible venture to Pricey's neck of the woods, before he's off to sunny Portugal.

Also looking forward to seeing those seething masses of bunnys that Pricey tempted us with.......had they gone on holiday????

This weekend was my first outing with people that I don't know.....a big deal for me.....Whitelegg2 was very impressed that I was doing it.

Sorry if I seemed a bit of a loner @ times, just me I guess.

Bunnykiller certainly seems to have noticed that one.

However I did enjoy the contact with all the other...a great diverse bunch of Downsizers & and associates.

Good to put some names to faces..

This has cetainly helped with my kids view of my new rifle....thay now can see what it is to be used for....they were fascinated by the bunnies I btought home, especially the one who was still wearing his clothes!!! They even stroked it

This is something that Whitelegg2 will not be doing...although she did enjoy the liver and kidney entree I cooked last night before the first of the rabbit casseroles....cooked it a bit too quick unfortunately, but th flavour was great.

Felt strange but good to be actually eating something that I had (killed) been instumental in its ceasing to live. Good to know it had had a good life, unlike most of what we eat....

I am emptying the freezer in anticipation of ventures future.

Again a big thanks all round.

Got a lovely suprise in the post yesterday - a speeding ticket from one of those lovely cameras We got it one our way down to Pricey's.

Apparently we were doing 39 in a 30 at 10.06pm. I know we did wrong, but it does make you mad.

Steve is a very very careful driver, and would normally stick to speed limits, but this just seems to be one of those cash generating jobbies, put in just the right place to catch unsuspecting and non local people. Certainly nothing to do with safety!!!!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Next time...

Wind down the window, lean back and let Steve put one through the lens with the Jackal!!

After the two bunnies a Gatso should be easy!

Not in the slightest bit serious, before anyone gives me a lecture!

Pete
