The alliums are poking through - garlic has grown about an inch and a half since xmas - good buds on the apple trees and we noticed we have heard birdsong in the morning for the first time since autumn

Tips of bigger bulbs starting to emerge, snowdrop foliage about 1-2in high (with the odd flower bud at ground level). Witch hazel in bloom.

1st snowdrop properly out today. The same bunch were in flower on Christmas Eve last year. Saw 7 spot ladybirds and some kind of bee/hoverfly on a hebe in bloom too.
