Have had my first go at fudge today (contribution to a 'do' tonight) and I'm going to cut it up into chunks shortly.

So, do you like your fudge squares:

A delicate, ladylike half an inch so you can eat it without too much facial jiggery-pokery

A decent inch - people know not to hold a conversation and expect an answer whilst you're eating it

The bigger the better, and eaten in private

Fudge is a bit like a pot of Yoghurt....never quite enough so the bigger the better for me, but not too much that it disappears too soon.... if you know what I mean?

I was thinking more along the lines of why bother cutting it up at all ....

Mine usually ends up with bits of different sizes so people can get the size they prefer. (I start eating the big bits then choose smaller as I start to feel sick)

How about half inch-sized and half bigger, that way people can choose themselves?

I usually go for fairly chunky pieces, about an inch and a half square perhaps.

I like big chunks, so you can nibble bits off. A small chunk may be eaten in one mouthful, but if you're at a 'do' and chatting away, you don't want a mouthful so you can't talk.
