Open to suggestions here. Plain boiled with celery salt and tiny Scotch eggs spring to mind. Any other bright ideas anyone?

Just found a Bingo smoked haddock scotch quail eggs suggestion. Might give that a go.

BBC website is helpful

I have been getting rid of them so fast that the only way we have had them so far is mini-boiled, for the kids.

I am going to try something based on my Mama's corned beef pie thingy, where she mushes up the corned beef and makes little holes and drops the eggs in before putting a crust on and baking it. I am trying to think of something to use instead of corned beef, because it scares me.

They are lovely pickled in a spiced & garlicky vinegar.

I like doing a mini full English breakfast with tiny cocktail-sized sausages, little black pudding rounds, chopped bacon pieces, cherry tomatoes and fried quail eggs on little potato cakes. It is not that much more of a faff than the full-sized equivalent and looks really sweet.

I made these scotch eggs with quail eggs for xmas day starter. It was one of the MasterChef Pro final recipes.

Simple smoked salmon mousse wrapped around a quail egg, then covered with panko breadcrumbs and deep-fried. Very, very nice, very simple.....

The black pudding ones were absolutely spiffing. The yolks came out runny too which was nice.
I should have herb/spiced up the sausagemeat more for the plain ones but I was running out of time. Boy Wonder liked them though.

They are yummy poached and served soft on asparagus or french fine beans.
