Not sure where to put this but... I am growing butter beans as well as the usual runners and french beans.
How dry do I have to let the butter beans get on the vine? Can I just pick them green and dry after?
Is it ok to give the bean foliage to my goats? I assume that there is more nutritional value in green stalks than brown ones. The grass here is so dry I am trying to supplement their diet a bit from odds and ends from the veggie patch. They already get the brassica leaves that locals grow for livestock (in moderation of course).
