There's a complete dearth of sensible clothes, as well. I've been looking for some nice warm pullies to muck out hens in and it's all low-cut sequiny tops that are COMPLETELY unsuitable

I got a fab black velvet halterneck jumpsuit a couple of years ago for seasonal outings. Unfortunately, I have accumulated so much flubber that when I optimistically tried it on the other day I realised that I looked more pregnant than my friend Lisa who actually is four months pregnant!

Took that off in a hurry I can tell you!

It's at times like that you wonder whether those little stick on pad things that give you an electric shock might be worth trying....

I mean, God forbid I should actually do a sit up!

Oh well, guess I'll just have to accept I'm 46 and a bit of flubber probably goes with the territory, sigh....

I must say that it seems terribly unfair that wrestling sheep or hay bales does nothing for your middle
