The chap next to the morgan garage is Shane from Cornish Apple Trees. He is not very good with email but I can assure he is very helpful and knowledgable. He also does hedges, stone wall etc, he was recently featured on Kevin Mclouds Grand Designs. I have just planted an orchard with his tree's, happy man!

Email is often, (far more often than people expect, especially people on the internet), a complete waste of time. Pick up the phone.

I've had good experience of Deacons Nursery in the Isle of Wight, despite the difference in latitude. Worth a look at their catalogue, I suggest.

I have to add in here that Shane did eventually contact me (via email), .....

However, Im sure he'd be a richer man if he checked and replied to his emails at least monthly....

As for his...defense statement, I never attacked him, just commented on the lack of reply. Im happy (in fact keen) to support local businesses. But if they dont reply, i cant place orders with them. I have since ordered via a Devon company.

I got mine from the agroforestry - they arrived yesterday - big, healthy trees, well wrapped and on time. Will use again definately.

When mine came they looked like a pair of mummified sitars!

I like the way Martin grows his own bamboo canes and uses phormium leaf ties in his packing

Excellent! I'll definitely be popping in to see you, Shane. We didn't get a single apple off our trees last year so we're looking to stock up and I'd love to do so with local trees
