Shouldn't be too deep. Get Nightwish over with his air rifle, he's dying to try it out!

follow the run

a homeless rat is a dead rat in most places

harsh but effective with no chemicals or two hour sniper waiting

even if not dead run away is a good start

I had a good dig at the back of the hen houses today - and wish I had had some terriers with me!
Certainly dispersed a few furry critters anyway, lets hope they 'hole up' further down the field...

well tonight just before dark i dug 6 inches down about a foot square with my girl next to me no rodents as of yet. i have let earth turned over. i found a nest of hay and feathers and a stash of what looked like a hedgehog of green spikes was of course the stash of corn they had trouble is the ground is so rocky so could not let dog dig to much

OK, so if I know there are rats living in the space under my hen house, can't find any tunnels and can't get under the hen house - how do I get rid of them?

I don't want to put poison down unless there's no other way. Don't want my hens eating poisoned rats, and don't want the local cats getting it either. Also don't really want rats rotting under the hen house....

I don't have, or know anyone with an air rifle. On a budget so expensive deterrents would have to be known to work to be worth it.

Hmm, is there a Downsizer How To document/article somewhere?
