I came across this whilst look for some basic guidelines on dealing with galleries on a Sale or Return basis.

https://blog.craftsforum.co.uk/?s=sale+or+return

Might useful for other DS folk too.

Thanks for the useful link - I have just returned from arranging my first mosaic exhibition - all exciting stuff but there are one or two things on that article I hadn't thought about.

Oh, how did it go?
It's incredibly draining isn't it, all the setting up. Takes twice as long as you imagine to perfect everything (or is that just me?).

Yes, I found a couple of the SorR points quite useful.
I knew the basics but I've got slightly different agreements with various galleries ... and the commercial outlets are different again.

There's quite an element of trust involved and more admin than I envisaged.

It went well for him, they have offered as much space as required, full publicity package paid for by them, flyers, poster, press and a reception/opening with wine and nibbles so for his first exhibition he is of course delighted. The exposure will be more important than sales and the duration of the exhibition will cover several important bank holidays here in Asturias.

We are busy now choosing the pieces to be displayed and making sure they look their best.

That sounds an excellent 'deal'. Nice not to have to worry about all the fiddly bits.

I'm sure it will go well on all fronts as the work is stunning.
Would love to see pics if you have time.
