I've been thinking about getting one of these as it would help with gardening info and it would be useful to have an idea on the wind for if I ever get round to putting the turbine up only been four years now Has anyone got any experience/recommendations? I'd like to be able to keep tabs on temp, rainfall etc but am a bit suspicious of gadgets as they don't always do what they say on the tin.

This website uses a Davis Vantage Pro https://www.sanday.org.uk/weather/
and this one https://sandaysoft.com/ is where to get the free software and support. These sites may be worth a look if this is the sort of weather information you are after. These might not be the type of station you want though, as they are a bit pricey (over £500!). I love the first site as it has a link to an excellent real time display, might be the start of an interesting hobby...

I looked at the ones you pointed at and am hugely tempted - what a good job I don't have any money! There's a part of me that thinks spending £500 is a ludicrous notion but I seem to have some kind of latent gadget obsession lurking because I found myself justifying the expenditure to myself quite plausibly....

Shame really as I can see that I'm never going to remember to do daily checks on a thermometer etc as I have tried for three years in a row now to keep a daily garden log.
