It looks great Rob - that must have been back-breaking work, but worth it. What beasties are going to live in it?

Allsorts of wildlife hopefully, newts have been seen the vicinity, providing they avoid the pair of white call ducks that are coming.

There was me imagining you with you spade out - what a dissapointment.

Are you going to breed the ducks?

With a bit of luck they will, I'll just leave them to get on with it.

(And yes, we had to get the spade out when the digger got stuck )

Looks great Rob. Do you have to do any planting or is it an existing pond you've expanded?

No, we haven't extended it- just cleaned it out! There was many years of gunk in there. We've left a bit of a fringe of vegetation & collected some seeds beforehand, to scatter about.

Is it spring fed and do you expect any wild ducks or geese to invite themselves to dinner at all?

It's just fed by rainwater run off from the field & you get the odd wild duck, but being close to the buildings you don't see many wild geese.
