A couple of years ago I posted a Science-Fiction picture of floating Islands. Just a dream. Now, somebody planes to make them reality, though I feel that 2100 might be a bit late to launch them.

I still want them to float with the ocean currentens, using different climate sones for different kinds of horticulture (agriculture might be a tad optimistic) and aquaculture. And Imagine living in an everlasting late August...

Not quite on that scale, but the Mexican floating gardens provided food and shelter for quite a few people.

I reckon the thing to do is to start at the Pacific Gyre and start tying together all the flotsam...
