Went across the field today and in the woodland section where there is a good 4 inches of snow there was the familiar smell of wild garlic and all the sprouting leaves poking out a inch or so over a very large area

Other people have said they have seen wild garlic up, but so far I have not seen it in our Hampshire woodland. Bluebells yes, wild arum yes, but no sign (or smell) of the wild garlic yet.

carpeting the top a wooded valley in huddersfield today ,about 100 mm above ground of very tasty young leaves .tis best when first sprouting

very nice added to some tomatoes sweated in olive oil

Ground still frozen solid in my bit of E.Yorks but snowdrops finally up!

smelt it when i got off the bus this morning near the stream. think i saw a patch but im not sure what it looks like very small.
