I've been given 3 plants of an Italian cucumber - have no idea what variety but apparently they're knobbly and sometimes curly - Any clues???

Seeds are bigger and chewier, they are more rubbery and less crisp than Dutch/ English ones. They also have a more bitter taste even after you've peeled them.
Can you tell I'm not a great fan ?
We can only get the English ones at the Lidl here. All of my children love them, but don't like the Italian ones at all.

Tbh, they wouldn't be my cuke of choice, but my seeds (a very prolific 6" variety) all failed for some unknown reason this year, and when I moaned about this to some friends and was immediately offered the others, I rather had to take them!

Better Italian cucumbers than none!
And it is heartwarming when people are kind and helpful - I'm sure they will taste better because the plants were given with love!
