I like it...but then start wondering what causes more damage to the ground out of tractor and trailer tyres or lots of trundling cows?

Yeah and about 2 foot of snow. I spent all that winter defrosting pipes for the flats in a stable with a blow-torch.

Great idea. I'm designing a milking bail myself at the moment, though on a somewhat small scale and with a view to it being pulled by something one horse powered..... If a pony is the equivalent of 1HP? I shall probably start with the quad though as it is just that little bit more reliable at the moment than Freya.
